I started teaching about 40 years ago for the A rthur Murray Studios in Sacramento, California. I taught Ballroom Dancing at the bronze and silver levels. After 10 years there I moved back to Indiana to be with my family and to start my own. I continued to teach Ballroom for another 5-6 years but decided at that point to take some time off to spend with my family. In 1988, after my husband passed away at the age of 42, I decided I needed some sort of activity for myself since my kids had their own friends. So I signed up for a local line dance class. After 1 year I decided to start my own classes. Now, 22 years later, I am still teaching and enjoying every minute of it. I have a Monday Night class in Knox, Indiana, Wednesday night class in Rochester and a Thursday night class in Warsaw. Since all 3 of these cities are in 3 different counties, we named our demo team the Tri-County Kickers. We put on demo's for Relay For Life, Rochester' Round Barn Festival, The Art's & Crafts Show in Nappanee, various school events, church resort groups and nursing homes. I love choreography and work at coming up with 1-2 new dances a year to take to competition and I have won numerous 1st and 2nd places. If you are interested in taking one of my classes, want to book my group for a demo, or would like to include me in your workshop, please feel free to contact me.
